On December 24 local time, the 100 MW Solar Power Plant in Chui Region, Kyrgyzstan’s first large-scale solar power project, was successfully completed and connected to the grid for power generation. China Energy Engineering Group Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. participated in the project as one of the EPC contractors. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, jointly witnessing this milestone moment.

The construction of the project officially commenced in July 2025. Thanks to the meticulous organization and efficient execution of the project team, the project was completed and grid-connected in just six months, once again demonstrating the widely acclaimed “China Speed”. As the first large-scale new energy project put into operation in Kyrgyzstan’s history, and also the country’s first large-scale solar power plant, it holds pioneering significance for optimizing Kyrgyzstan’s energy structure and increasing the proportion of clean energy.
