The 400kV Main Substation Project in Oman, undertaken as an EPC project and independently designed by the Oman Subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., has recently achieved full-capacity energization.

Located in the Sohar Free Zone in northern Oman, approximately 200 km from the capital Muscat, the project includes the construction of three 400kV main transformers and eight 220kV main transformers in this phase, covering engineering, procurement, and construction of the 400kV substation.
The project marks OETC’s first grid substation independently built by a Chinese contractor, and is also the largest and highest-capacity 400kV substation in Oman to date.
